Making Every Drop of Industrial Water Work Harder
Water is essential to the infrastructure powering our world. Data centers, semiconductor fabs, and advanced manufacturing facilities depend on reliable cooling and industrial water systems—but much of the water used in these operations leaves as wastewater that could potentially be recovered and reused.
At the same time, freshwater constraints, rising utility costs, and increasingly demanding operational requirements are making water management a strategic challenge for industry.
SocketRun is developing a smarter, more accessible approach to industrial water recovery.
Our goal is to help water-intensive facilities recover more value from the water they already use—without the complexity, footprint, or upfront investment that can make conventional treatment projects difficult to adopt.
Why We Exist
We believe access to water should not become a barrier to technological progress.
As demand for computing power and advanced manufacturing grows, industry needs practical ways to use water more efficiently. Reducing avoidable water waste can help businesses manage operating costs, strengthen water resilience, and reduce pressure on local freshwater resources.
Solving this challenge requires more than better filtration. It requires rethinking how water treatment systems are designed, deployed, operated, and financed.
That is the opportunity we see.
A Different Approach to Water Recovery
Traditional industrial water-treatment projects can involve complex engineering, substantial capital investment, and installations that are difficult to accommodate in space-constrained facilities.
SocketRun is exploring a different model: compact, modular water-recovery systems delivered through a Water-as-a-Service approach.
Our approach is focused on four principles:
Designed for real facilities. Develop compact systems that fit the practical constraints of existing industrial environments.
Recover water at the source. Explore opportunities to treat wastewater streams where they are generated, making reuse more practical.
Reduce adoption barriers. Pursue a service-based model that can reduce the need for customers to fund and manage treatment equipment themselves.
Operate with reliability in mind. Prioritize monitoring, controlled operation, and safeguards that protect the primary facility processes on which customers depend.
We are initially focused on cooling-tower blowdown and other industrial water streams where recovery may deliver meaningful economic and environmental value.
Technology With a Practical Purpose
We believe technology matters when it solves a real problem.
Our focus is on developing water-treatment solutions that balance recovery performance, energy consumption, operating cost, footprint, and maintainability. The right approach must work with the chemistry of the actual water stream—not just under ideal laboratory conditions.
We aim to combine advances in treatment technology, intelligent monitoring, and modular system design to make industrial water recovery more practical.
Success is not simply removing contaminants. It is recovering usable water safely and reliably, at an economics that makes sense for the customer.
Our Mission
To help industry do more with less water.
We envision a future in which recovering and reusing industrial water becomes a practical, economically attractive part of everyday operations—not an expensive, complicated exception.
By making water recovery easier to adopt, SocketRun aims to contribute to more resilient industrial infrastructure and a more sustainable relationship between economic growth and the planet's limited freshwater resources.
Let's Rethink Industrial Water
We want to hear from data-center operators, facility engineers, industrial water specialists, and technology partners who believe water recovery can be done better.
If your facility is looking for ways to reduce freshwater consumption, recover wastewater, or improve the economics of industrial water management, we welcome a conversation.
Let's explore what is possible. Contact socketrun.
